About

I recently completed my PhD in Italian literature and language, during which I spent a lot of time doing research in the ghostly town of Trieste. I have a passion for talking to people and building relationships in and out of Italy. I’m here to share my experiences over the course of 12+ years living in and traveling to Italy, discovering new ideas, places, foods, wines, and people along the way. If you would like advice, tips, etc. about an upcoming trip to Italy or would like to pick my brain about what I know and where I’ve been, please feel free to email me!

Italia celata means hidden or concealed Italy.

  1. Totally engaging and lots of fun to read! I had certainly never heard of Trieste before you embarked on your journey there!
